OUR FEES

How much do sessions cost?
  • $110 ($104.76 + GST) for 55-60 minutes for individual and couple’s counselling with Gerry.
  • $100 for 55-60 minutes of life coaching with Sandy (women only).
  • On occasion, a client requests to talk to both Sandy and Gerry at the same time. The cost for a session like this is $150 for 55-60 minutes.
  • Payments are made by credit card or E transfer.
Does insurance cover the cost?

Check your insurance plan to see if you have coverage for counselling. Gerry is not a registered psychologist or social worker. He has a master’s degree in counselling, a certification for sexual recovery therapy and a membership with the Professional Association of Christian Counsellors and Psychotherapists (Certification # 20150187). Some plans will cover these credentials and other plans do not. If your plan covers Gerry’s credentials, you pay him up front and then submit your receipts for reimbursement. Gerry does not do direct billing.

What is your cancellation policy?

24 hours notice is required if you want to cancel or reschedule your appointment. You are responsible for payment of the full fee for late cancellations, reschedules or missed appointments.

Do I have to be Christian to see Gerry?

I work with both Christians (about 70% of clientele) and non-Christians (about 30% of clientele). I am a Christian counsellor and come from a Christian worldview regarding marriage and sexuality. However, non-Christians are accepted and treated with dignity and respect and will receive high-quality, professional counselling and psychotherapy.

Does telephone/Zoom video counselling work?

Yes! In fact, research indicates it is just as effective as in-person counselling. Telephone/Zoom video counselling has many benefits such as saving commuting time, attaining counselling when you live in a remote area, getting the specialized help you need that may not be available in your area and calling from the comfort of your own home or business. I no longer have an office for in person counselling. All sessions are online by video or phone.

What are some good resources?

First of all, there are bad resources especially on the internet and through certain podcasts. The resources to stay away from are those that imply or outright state that there is no such thing as sex addiction. Also, the sexual betrayal trauma model is very good and has replaced the codependency model in many ways. However, the codependency model is still relevant in some situations and should not be completely discarded.
